Chester
About 2000 years ago, the Romans built a fortress at Chester. Today, Chester is one of Britain's most beautiful cities with fascinating architecture including the 10th century cathedral and the largest Roman amphitheatre in Britain. Length of Trip: Full day or half day and can include:
- Guided tour around the ancient walls of the city led by a Roman Soldier
- Visit to the Roman museum
- Chance for the students to use their English in Chester’s excellent shops
- Picnic in one of the City’s beautiful parks (weather permitting)
Liverpool

- Anfield Football Stadium, home of world-famous Liverpool F.C – see the dressing rooms, tunnel, team dug out and go to The Kop (www.liverpoolfc.tv)
- Liverpool’s two famous cathedrals – the Anglican Cathedral is the largest cathedral in the UK and the Metropolitan Cathedral, with its unique shape and design.
- The stunning Albert Docks, a World Heritage site, containing The Beatles’ Story and the Maritime Museum
- City Centre shops
Manchester
As a centre of the UK’s Industrial Revolution, Manchester has a rich scientific heritage.
Length of Trip: Full day only and excursions can include:
